Black Pearls

Wally asked me what I think about black pearls?

Well Wally black pearls are beautiful, but there are somethings you should know about them before you set out to buy some.  For one thing natural black akoya, and fresh water pearls do not exist so in all cases these well be color treated by dye.  Tahitian pearls come from the Black Lip oyster only.  You can spot a color treated pearl by looking down the drill hole and seeing if there is any accumulation on dye.

Just a little tid bit hope it helps
